Re-worked antique trochus shell and seed pearl necklace

Hello mermaid dream necklace!

I love this shimmering, one of a kind necklace! Made from genuine freshwater seed pearls and an antique shell pendant necklace, it is a stunning statement piece.

I have used part of a beautiful pastel coloured, antique trochus shell belt buckle and made it into a one of a kind pendant. When I bought it, it was looking for a new purpose in life! I added a dangling beaded fringe to the buckle with complementary coloured beads and strung it from a vintage seed pearl necklace. I have also re-strung the seed pearl necklace, finishing it with its original clasp, and so both the buckle and the necklace are having a new lease of life!

The buckle has absolutely beautiful shimmering colours of pastel pinks, blues, faux pearls and of course the natural iridescence of the trochus shells themselves.

It is finished with a signature Shh by Sadie tag.

Necklace length approx 45cm. Pendant approx 8 × 4cm.

This necklace is a one of a kind, combination of antique and new elements and so you will never see any one else wearing the same necklace! 

I enjoy repairing and re-designing broken or unwanted vintage jewellery so that it can be worn and loved once again.
